Xbox 360 Modchip Questions:
1) When Chipped, will I be able to backup and play my games from the hard drive as I did with my old modded Xbox?
A. NO - Xbox 360 does not Copy Games to Hard Drive like XBOX 1 (orginal Xbox)
2) With my old Xbox, I was able to turn the mod on and off and go onto "LIVE". Will your mod allow this?
A. On Some Xbox 360 The Modchip will AUTO detect when a Backup Xbox360 game is inserted and Turn ON only in this case- The Chip will Automatically Turn OFF when an Original Xbox 360 Game is Inserted.
3) I understand movies and game rentals can only be done on a unchipped, original system. If the mod is able to be turned off, will this mod allow this?
A. Thanks For this question but I believe it comes from not proper information- Modchipped and non chipped consoles can play movies and Games ( rentals) the same.
4)Will I be able to skin the interface (Boot screen and etc) as I did with the original xbox?
A. Yes you can alter the Interface by Changing the Data files on the Xbox 360
5) I think I have a Toshiba/Samsung DVD. What is the cost for the mod and your turn around time?
A. Toshiba Samsung DVD Xbox 360 are a Good Model to modify - approximately AU 149.95 depending on how much protective coating Microsoft has used on the chipset.
6) Can I use a non-Microsoft drive? Will this affect question(s) 2 and 3?
A. Yes you can utilize a Non Microsoft Drive.
Different Brands of DVD recordable discs may read better than others.
The brand of disc used on 360 is Important - if one brand does not work use another brand of Blank DVD/CD Recommended brands - Verbatim Dual Layer work best, others work but mixed results.
Some Xbox 360 consoles after modding dont read Xbox 360 backups .
If after trying good quality brands of DVD media the Xbox 360 still does not read your games adjusting the pots or DVD Laser pot heads which increases or decreases strength of the laser output - can give a desired result.
